Fingerprints 101 Guide Crime Writing

Fingerprints 101: An Infographic

Do  you know how fingerprints are collected from a crime scene, who gathers them and how they differ between people? No? Look no further than this handy infographic on the basics of fingerprinting!

Unless fingerprint evidence is going to be pivotal to your story (e.g. planted or fake evidence) I doubt you need to know much more than the language used in this diagram. If you do want to find out a bit more though, I’ve included some further sources and reading at the bottom, and will add to this list as I learn more.

Enjoy!
